My Older Brother Passed Away

My older Brother JIm passed away this past Tuesday of heart failure. He had been ill for a long while with only 4% kidney function for around 2 years now. The past couple of months he had been so sick, and not able to keep food down that he missed several dialysis treatments. I think it was the last straw for his body to take. He was finally admitted to the hospital in Rochester, NY last weekend. His heart stopped around 5 AM EST on Tuesday, and they never were able to get it restarted.

Please keep his wife Luann in your thoughts and prayers as Jim's death was totally unexpected so soon. She is now left holding the bag trying to straighten out her life on her own from now on. Needless to say I haven't much been in the mood for any kind of music ripping lately. Jim was cremated yesterday, and his wife will take his ashes with her back to PA where she's from. Thanks all!

I wish you all the best during this difficult time. Take it from someone who knows, it's not easy at a time like this. Keep your chin up.

So Sorry. You have been so good to us over the years, I don't know what to say except, God Rest his Soul.

I feel so bad about your brother....I have followed your pictures and comments and I recognize your 1950's-60's family as much like mine in size and closeness....the photos and memories cut both ways, giving us glimpses of happy moments, but stinging us for the absence of our loved ones...your blog and others like it supply something special that helps us keep the those old days in spirit and mind...time is fleet and stops for noone, but while we are here we can wrap ourselves in memories and music with the help of the wonderful music you have given back to us....some of the WT Grant and Firestone albums are all we had for Christmas music back in the 60's, they were affordable and wonderful and when I hear them again, and remember each song in the order it is played, I get that pang of nostalgia and feeling of being there again, that makes life worth living. Thanks and God rest your people and make their final moments easy and peaceful.

Thanks all.

Yes that nostalgia is why I got into Music Blogging in the first place. It is getting harder and harder to maintain, but I'll keep going as long as I can.
