Thanks for posting this. I love The Lullaby For Christmas Eve. I originally heard it on this album: http://waycoolmusic.blogspot.com/search?q=Marty+Gold This is one of my favorite christmas albums. All this time I thought it was an original for this Marty Gold Children's Chorus recod.
I've loved that song since I heard it on one of those compilation LPs my Dad got in the 60's. I think it is on one of The Carpenters Christmas LPs as well.
You should visit my Way Cool Music Blog and download the Album "Songs From How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Other Children's Christmas Songs". The Mary Gold Children's Chorus is GREAT!!!!
CListen to "Rags" on the album. It is one of the most meaningful Christmas songs ever. Their version of Lullaby For Christmas Eve is really good as well. Bob
Dave, if you've just listened to these two stories on one album, I will present to you another one. This is called "The Little Angel" by Loretta Young and "Lullaby of Christmas" by Gregory Peck. Two outstanding Christmas stories on one album, just like "A Christmas Carol" and "Mr. Pickwick's Christmas". This was from a cassette tape that I got at a flea market a long time ago and the quality is excellent. It was a 1983 MCA reissue and it originally on Decca back in the 50's, and I will share with you those two more Christmas stories. Enjoy!
Awesome. Thanks BigBirdFan. I just found a copy of this LP last month. It's not as good shape as your shares though so I'll stick with them. Thanks again.
I have a large collection of LPs, Cassettes, and CDs, and now Reel To Reel Tapes. So I set up all of my blogs to share them with the world as about 90% of them are no longer available for sale. Enjoy!!!
